My name is Scott Powers i am from Long Beach New York. I have been vaulting for 2 years and my PR in freshmen year is 10'6. I have been running through my years in middle school to high school. I think everyone should know the utter joy of pole vaulting. I have been a sprinter all my life recently becoming a pole vaulter and that is what inspired me to make this blog

Vice President / Vlogger
Zachary Green @ZachZach28

My name is Zachary Green, I am from Riverside, California. I started my pole vaulting career winter of 2012, as a freshman in high school. Not knowing what I was getting into, I soon became in love with pole vaulting immersing myself with information and knowledge about the sport. The pole vault community is not like most, it has many different aspects that make it very unique. I myself started making tutorials, vlogs, and tools to help and hopefully inspire others to get more involved in the world of pole vaulting. In the end, I guess you can say I'm hoping to inspire others to get more involved or to take apart in the pole vault community.

Writer / Sport Analyst
Connor Guidry @connorgpv

My name is Conner Guidry and I've been pole vaulting for four years now. I started my freshman year and only got a PR of 7'6. Now I am entering my Senior year jumping about 14 feet getting ready for college. I live and go to school in the South Florida Miami area and have been competing in track and field for about 9 years. I started with Long Distance and then found the wonderful event, Pole Vaulting. I love this sport because it is open to everyone and anyone and if you put in hard work and practice you can become a great vaulter. I never thought I would go anywhere in pole vaulting when I started but after four years of determination I accomplished goals I never thought I could achieve. Pole Vaulting is the greatest sport in the world and I can't wait to see how much it grows

My name is Jacob Flores, and I have been pole vaulting for 6 years.  I decided to go out for pole vaulting freshman year because I thought it looked fun.  After that, I fell in love and the rest is history.  I broke my high school’s record of 13 feet when I was a junior, and set the record at 14’8” my senior year.  I was born in raised in Tempe, Arizona, and I am going to attend Arizona State University this fall, and walk on to the track team.  I truly developed my passion for the sport during my freshman and sophomore years of college.  This past season, I competed for Mesa Community College, and won Outdoor Nationals with a PR vault of 15’11.75”.  I love this sport, and I cannot wait to grow and learn more as I progress.

Hey vaulters! My name is Sam Kaplan and I'm a super enthusiastic vaulter of poles. I am going to be a junior at New Paltz High School in New York. I first tried vaulting my freshman year in spring track (because my school does not have indoor) and I fell in love with the sport. I currently vault at the Hudson Valley Flying Circus in Warwick, NY and I'm my school record holder with 10'4" and my PR is 10'8". Pole vault is the first sport that I have really ever had a true passion for and I'm extremely excited to share my opinions and knowledge with you guys.
